Creepy stuff... We've a few books in the library on basically the same theme. There's a particularly wierd one I remember where the lynch mob had brought their kids along and were having a kind of picnic. The kids expressions varied from incomprehension to a kind of viscious glee. Interesting to study, psychologically speaking.
