What's your character?

I had a Hobbit Hunter and Race of Man Minstrel back when I was playing, and they were both pretty fun.

En elven hunter from Mirkwood. I went for a hunter for the mobility of transport it allows. Also glass cannons are fun.

I play with another elf, a guardian though. And a human minstrel. We can take most things, except in large groups. A single overpowered tank? Not a problem. Loads of tiny goblins? Fuuuuuuck!

That's a nice balanced group, you could happily add any other classes to that, though a Champion would probably be best.

Indeed, we've come to the conclusion that we could do with someone else as a secondary tank, a champion would be ideal cause they could then dish out some hurt as well. At the moment when we get swamped by things, regardless of what they are, the tank can't keep up and the enemies start bleeding over into me and the healer. At which point we tend to die, then the tank gets it soon after.

I seem to recall that Loremaster's also get a crowd control ability at some point that looked quite decent. And of course as a Hunter you'll be wanting to use your trap on anything that looks like a tricky pull.

I haven't looked too much at loremasters, though they do seem quite interesting. When I chose my class I wanted something that I could solo if I wanted to, but that was more than just a killing machine. The loremasters seemed less suited to that and far more a group character. If I make a secondary I may well make a loremaster or burglar, just for some variation.
