This is a well written, thoughrouly thought out entry Jon- I'm impressed.

I don't have much to comment on besides that though because we've already spoken about his 100 times- we agree. I just wanted to compilment your writing!

Although it has somewhat to do with kids maturity levels(or rather, the maturity people and society seem to force upon kids) I also think Halloween participation has largely to go with the area you live in. To be blunt, poor people dont want to give out candy. I drove through come neighborhoods on tues going home and saw TONS of little kids flooding the streets, begging to be hit by a car. I think when people stop saying "kids grow up so fast nowadays" they will actually slow down, and maybe do some halloweenage. and yes, halloweenage is a real word. Use it, love it.

Yeah- and I wouldn't be surprised if the HOAs in those Happy Valley communities prohibit trick-or-treating.
