You'd have to win the lottery, give me the winnings, and then work in my mansion as a servant to make up for the things you've done.

Reading old journals can be torturous in a sense- but it can also be very humbling (in the ways that you explained). I like to look back and read about times when I thought I was in agony- that I thought I was so tortured, and to know that I got out of it just fine. It's like being able to know how the story is going to end before you get to the last page. I don't think there's any one point to having a journal- I think it might be different for everyone. When I write, I never think that I'll necessarily come back one day and read what I've written. The few times that I've gone back and read my journal have always been on a whim- and I only read it once.

I don't really know what I'm talking about. I'm rambling. I'm not like you, I'm a flow of consciousness writer- sometimes to my detriment.

I'm glad even Livejournal only lets you see the last batch of entries you write on one page. I don't even like reading what I wrote a year ago.
