So here is a long, possibly boring, discussion about the New York roadmap. More than most of my blog posts, this was written for me, not you. But you are welcome to read it. I won't mind if you get bored and stop reading

Thankyou. I have always wondered what the upper east side was ... now I know :-)

I love being asked for direction when I am travelling, because I like solving puzzles. Maybe you look like a good puzzle solver.

Broadway is a great idea as far as streets go. With the shortest point between two street corners in Manhattan being a straight line of pythagorean distance, I don't like to think of how you'd get from the corner of 6th ave and 78th street to the corner of 1st ave and 1st street without it.
