[Given that his TARDIS is now actually a wooden box, he's been confused as to why he still feels... TARDISy vibes. So he went out walking. (And he was already about to collapse into bed previously so his reasoning skills in this encounter are going to suck so much.) His device is on just because noise is better than silence, so the odd chattering makes him pause and look. When the transmission ends, he's super confused and goes to find her. Whether he's just going to help a new arrival or not, he can't tell.]

Have you... just arrived here then? You don't seem nearly so confused as most people. Lots of 'where am I', 'what's this place then', and a surprisingly large number of people who seem to know practical jokers.

Oh, yes, of course, I only mean-- the point of appropriation, and then the destination-- rarely ever the same-- the first bit, not the second, that's more or less the same, because it's here.
