I love that imagery Isa. It's a really good description of how soothing that rain is. It's had that effect on me a lot recently, when I lie in bed, trying to bend my brain in a way that it can't go...and then I hear that steady drumming on the roof, and the dripping off the eaves, and it quells the swirling thoughts and, exactly as you put it, 'every part of me simply falls unbidden back into line and relaxes.'
I'm glad other people can understand it. Whenever I live or stay in places where I can hear the rain on the roof it makes me so, so happy and content. I wish it rained so much more than it does.
You stole the words from my mind. I debated putting in my post that rain was the earth's form of kala. That's always how it seems to me. ...I should have known you'd catch it.

Rain's like one big cleansing ritual, no?
