For those just waking up EgyptAir MS804 diappeared off radar leaving Paris, France. 66 people on board. They think the plane went down in the Med. No word yet if it was terrorism or not but, given recent history (Paris Attacks, Brussels, Sinai), it was terrorism. Hmmmmm. As tragic as this is its never a good idea to jump to one possible conclusion without exploring the others. Yes recent history in Europe and Egypt definitely make terrorism a very reasonable possibility but I'm going to wait until the investigation is complete before deciding how we should respond. I'd hate to call for an erosion of civil liberties or a retaliatory cruise missile strike over faulty parts, shoddy maintenance, or pilot error.
