Yikes, It was crazy raining last night and the melting snow definatly did not help the water levels, all the water around here has been crazy high and fast all day.
The weather here has been pretty insane. Last night it snowed where I am - that in and of itself is not a shocker, but if the temperature drops, I fear the flooded areas are going to freeze and that is not going to be safe. Hope you are doing well! Stay safe.
Yep, the winter we've had in Ontario this year has been insane with the tempurature changes. Thankfully we didn't get a whole lot of ice where I am, but I'm in a higher area, as opposed to just shortly away by the grand which usually gets hit the worst because of the flooding.
Yeah, I'm not used to living in the snow-belt in Western Ontario....not that it is really much different from living in Eastern Ontario (you trade lower temperatures for more snow). London hasn't really gotten any ice (a few instances of freezing rain, but not as much as I would have thought). Overall, this winter has been snowy but these weird rises in the temperature is throwing me off.
Thanks love. As far as I know everyone is okay - besides the river deciding it wasn't happy with its path. We'll see how long it takes for the levels to drop. Fingers crossed it won't freeze like this.
I didn't believe people when they said the land surrounding the river sometimes floods. Or at least I didn't think it would be to this degree! Thankfully everything seems to be fine. Just some unhappy cars and pedestrians such as myself ;)
