Funny that, I am going to be looking into transfering Eb to the UK...she's become too involved over there to just up and say sorry you can't do that shit anymore.

Yeah, this blows.

Zo loses the entirety of her living family and her fiance over this (okay, to be fair she was waiting to break up with him anyways).

If you retire her she'll be missed, but I understand your reasons.

Why would I? While I have enjoyed some of the GIRC games I've been to, the reason why I've been to a lot of them is because I've had the time on my hands to be able to do so. I've no serious connection to them - the majority of characters who D has strong ties with are UK based, as are the players. There will indubitably be characters that I would miss RP'ing with, but this situation is not one of my making.

I thought that if you transferred her into the UK chronicle, it retires her in the US chronicle... my understanding is that we're going to have a continuity split, and in the US version, the UK goes away... so I guess US-Cam Isabel goes away, but UK-Cam Isabel continues to play with Demo and the gang.

If that understanding's right, I'm likely to do something simular... continue playing Felix in the US-Cam, but have a UK-Cam version of Felix that retires from the limelight, but still likes to come to Anglesey for a spot of tea.

As always, whichever you choose, you'll have my support.

US-continuity Isabel will go away. I'll be settling her affairs over March and having her withdraw into mommyhood.

The prospect of playing her without the relationship RP and with all the political bullshit holds no appeal. I'll miss RP with some folks, but my god, the idea of being rid of the high status and high visibility aspect of the game is so liberating. This is my ticket OUT, and I just can't muster up much guilt.

I'd have a much harder choice if I had a physical game I played in, but I don't. I'm going where the fun is.

I'll miss the rp. I might look into playing in the UK after the wedding...but until then, I have barely enough patience for anything game related. :)
