Well, I watched it accidentally when we were doing religion activity.
And looks like I need to share this nice movie 8D
Title: Facing The Giants
Director: Alex Kendrick
Production: Sherwood Pictures - 2006
Rating: PG - G
Format: Drama Movie - OVA
Genre: Slice of Life, Sport, Religion
The story is about depressing life of Christian High School's American Football Coach Grant Taylor. His carrier couldn't bring his team to victory, then their fathers tried to fired him, his broken car, and his problem due to his wish to have a baby with his wife. Everything is near the end.
But then, he tried to step at God's way and changed his team's philosophy, which is "God makes everything possible".
And it didn't only make his team to their best change, but also his own life.
Story: 8.0
Simple yet meaningful. I am being American Football right now actuallybecauseofeyeshield21lol!!. And I love 'happy ending'. Dunno why I'm being not to be respectful for bad ending, though :/ maybe because of my sadness of bad ending XD;;
Feeling: 9.0
According to above, I admit this movie is really good for morality, for parents even for teenagers. It tells us to accept God in our life, no matter what kind of religion we are. With God, anything is possible. And I really touched with Grant's effort to make his kids being a 'one' team for honor God only.
Actings: 8.5
Same as above. If feeling is touching so much, so it's also because of great acting. I love how Alex Kendrick and Sherwood Baptist Church done it very well. Even we were astonished on their acting on their strive to be state winner 8DD
Voice: 8.2
The soundtrack makes the movie better. But I felt weird at the conversations. Was it just my feeling or true that the conversation is dubbed? *while other movies made it by direct microphone on the acting place*
Overall: 8.4 - B+
Good for everything. VERY nice job for low-budget movie 8DDD And I really recommend this movie for sure 8D
