It depends on your personal traditions and beliefs. Christmas is sometimes considered to be a religious holiday, and not everyone celebrates it.

There's nothing wrong with spending it alone. Especially if you don't have any celebration planned.

That part depends on what you consider fun obviously. If you rely on other people for your entertainment, then you're probably right and it wouldn't be much fun.
