I have learned that you can learn a lot about a woman by looking in her closet. And believe me, I have spent a lot of time in closets, so I think that I am pretty much an expert on the subject.
I will give you examples.
Let us take Closet A. Inside Closet A, there is still quite a good bit of room for someone of my stature to move around within it, although I cannot stand up or stretch my arms out too far. This tells me that the woman whose closet this is owns an unusually small number of clothes for a female, but does sometimes like to indulge in a little shopping. The hangars are either cheap wire from the cleaners, or even cheaper plastic, like the ones the supermarket sells ten for a dollar. This woman clearly is not overly concerned with the quality and upkeep of her clothes, especially since she has a few sweaters even now being pulled out of shape on their hangers.
There are only three or four pairs of shoes, including two pairs of sneakers and one set of hiking boots. They are also quite large. No hats to speak of in this closet, except perhaps one or two knit wool caps, thrown in the corner. At the very end of the closet are two or three dresses, one of which still has the store tag attached.
We are dealing, of course, with the kind of woman who is not girly, avoids anything that is too decorative or frilly, and takes herself much more seriously than her appearance.
Meanwhile, in Closet B, there is almost no room to breathe, let alone move, and I must carefully wedge myself into a corner to fit. And that is in spite of this closet measuring more than twice the size of Closet A. There are more clothes in this closet than in the whole of my country. Sweaters are folded neatly on an upper shelf. There are also two kinds of hangers in here, as well, but they are either wooden or padded and wrapped in satin. On those are hung things which are so soft and smooth against my... hand. Closet B belongs to a woman who loves her clothes and cares for them.
There are more shoes than I am able to count, most of which are kept in their boxes, so as to stack better. Pumps, slides, mules, sandals, boots... a dizzying array of daintily small ladies' footwear. I see only one set of tennis shoes and they are so white they must be almost new. Hatboxes. Jewelry boxes. I do not think I need to continue.
Obviously, the woman who fills Closet B is a female of taste and refinement, who understands that beauty is indeed only skin deep, so she'd better look great in whatever goes on top of that skin.
I can only hope this helps some of you understand. Thank you.
