We got bikes yesterday. Fairly expensive bikes. Figured we could start getting around town on our own power for a change, and stop (or at least reduce) our dependence on fossil fuels. Beautiful concept, right? Until you realize how fuckin' hilly Tallahassee is! My calves and thighs are so bloody sore right now, I can't begin to describe. And with ( Read more... )

babe, it ain't all it's cracked up to be. My butt is still not as enthusiastic about the ride as the rest of me. That reminds me, don't I still owe you a ride? Not that talking of my sore butt reminded me. hehehehe... it was talking of rides. Well.. ...ahh shit, this is coming out all wrong. Urrrhhhhh.. Ok, on the motorcycle, from Hair! I promised. And I just wanted you to know the invitation is still open. When next we catch up, I guess.

Peace,
me.

To get my adrenaline pumping I rock out on my drums, and then my mom yells at me and the whole neighborhood gets involved. The latter is not too good.

I'm so glad I have a way of communicating with you frequently now!

I know what you mean, Meliss. Sometimes it's just me and my own drums here in the house. I don't have a mom to yell at me, but these buggers can get fairly loud, and I do think I shake the neighborhood. But I'm the big mean-looking black guy with dreadz and the neighbors know to ignore the voodoo music coming from that house down the street. hehehehehe... :-)

Interesting. Dwayne has purchased a bike also, not nearly as nice as yours I'm sure, but still a bike. He has biked to campus from our house twice and had "exciting" experiences both times. I'll let him tell you about them.

I also wanted to pursure the biking venture but am realizing I'm scared to walk on the streets much less be on a bicycle on these crazy streets. I do know what you mean and wish that we had better bike trails and lanes here. I've heard that Maclay Gardens has nice trails but don't know if there is any truth to that. Do you know if they do?

Glad to hear you're adrenaline is pumping early in the morning. I'm sure it's quite a jumpstart to your day. ::winks::
