The Gates piss me off. Maybe if I saw them in person I'd change my tune, but I think they're ridiculous. On TV I saw one that had graffitti on it that simply said "Art?" It seems to me like a colossal waste of time and money. I could rant about it for a long time, but my opinion in short is that I don't like them.

To me,
it didnt cost the city of new york ANYTHING
the artists arent making money off of the gates
all of the gates will be recycled.
and its kind of cool to look at.
I dont think it's supposed to move you or make a statement, but it's something that masses of people can interact with.
I'm still not entirely sure how I feel about them either though.
