"Eh? Nani?" Yuto was confused with what Ryosuke had just said. Blind? How could he be blind? What caused it? A lot of thought flooded inside his mind and they weren't adding up anything.
"You didn't hear me wrong Yuto-kun. I am blind." There he goes again with his smile. But this smile isn't the same smile Yuto has seen all his life. This smile was sad and hurt like it was placed there to hide all the pain.
Yuto still didn't believe Ryosuke's words. He thinks Ryosuke is just playing with him. He took another step forward and Ryosuke remained expressionless. He tried making different faces but Ryosuke didn't change his expression. Yuto got desperate that he even waved his hand in front of Ryosuke and he never blinked.
"I can't see you but I can feel the presence of your hand that is waving in front of me." Yuto took his hand back. He really couldn't believe that Ryosuke is blind. Is this why he left? Yuto thought again.
"Did you come alone?" He heard Ryosuke asking him. He nodded his head but then realized the situation so he spoke up.
"Hai. I saw you on the train and decided to follow you."
"Souka." The short reply of Ryosuke oddly irritated Yuto. He was missing for 2 years and yet he still hasn't explained why? Doesn't he realize how hurt Yuto was when he couldn't see him anymore?
"Why are you acting this way?!" As so Yuto just snapped. He couldn't take it anymore. He has endured so much and now this happened. What's the point in finding Ryosuke if he can't even see Yuto. He didn't even give an explanation about all the things that had happened 2 years ago.
"Acting in what way?" Ryosuke was clueless in what Yuto was saying; atleast he was trying to.
"We meet again and then you act like nothing wrong had happened between us. Like what happened 2 years ago didn't actually happen. Don't you know how much I've endured just to keep myself sane from thinking of possibilities of what could happen to you!" Yuto was out of breath already. All he had bottled inside him for two years just bursted out. He couldn't hold it in anymore. It was way to painful already.
"Do you really want to know what happened after the accident?" Ryosuke still has the guts to ask even though he knows the answer already. He knows Yuto is fuming in anger already but he just remained calmed and collected.
"Yes! I've been spending everyday trying to look for an answer to that!" Ryosuke just nodded his head and then he moved closer to Yuto. He could feel Yuto's presence very near him. He stretched out his hand and it landed on Yuto's arm. He moved it down until he felt Yuto's hand and held it. Yuto just kept on staring at Ryosuke and not saying anything.
"Let's go. I'll show you." Ryosuke tugged on Yuto's hand and he followed him. He was amazed by how Ryosuke knows the place so well. He knows where to turn and where not to. He knows what are placed on the pots and what flowers they have passed by.
"Where exactly are you taking me?" This was the first time he spoke up after his breaking point earlier.
"My house and then we're going to Johnny's. " Yuto was shocked to hear they were going to Johnny's. Was Ryosuke going in and out of the Jimusho all along and he didn't notice it? He wanted to ask but Ryosuke beat him to it.
"I go there at very early in the morning. I know JUMP isn't a morning person so I took that chance to go inside but I guess since you found me now I can go in at this time of day." Yuto kept quiet once again. His thought evaded his mind. What was Ryosuke doing in the Jimusho? Why did he go back and not tell the others?
The two of them arrived shortly at the Yamadas new residence which was actually right beside the rose garden they were earlier in. Ryosuke and Yuto passed through the short cut so they didn't go out to the streets. Through house was very nice and it had a great sense of home to it. It was a 2 storey house painted in pastel yellow and it had a brown roof. They have this small front yard with a variety of roses around too just like in the Garden.
"Tadaima." Ryosuke said as he entered the house. He let go of Yuto's hand and used his stick to point out where things were.
"Change into those Yuto." He pointed at the slippers on the shoe rack. He looked at where Ryosuke was pointing and was actually surprised of what he saw.
It was the slippers he always wore when he has a sleep over at the Yamada residence. Yuto frequently visits so Mrs. Yamada bought him his own indoor slippers. The slippers had a rather cute design on it. It was color blue with white bunnies decorated on them. At first he couldn't believe that they sell these kind of slippers for boys but eventually he really liked wearing them.Yuto took of his shoes and replaced it with the said slippers. He looked at Ryosuke and he was also changing his shoes. He was trying to untie his shoelace but he missed that he almost fell on the floor if Yuto didn't catch him in time.
"Let me do it." He said to Ryosuke and crouched down. He untied both of Ryosuke's shoe laces and all took his shoes off.
"Where is your slippers?" He asked Ryosuke.
"It's the same as always." Ryosuke replied to him. Yuto looked for it in the shoe rack and immediately found it. Yuto had a small smile adorned on his face.
Ryosuke's slippers were also bought together with Yuto's. The only difference is that it had a red base and little pigs were the designs on them.
"I know you're smiling. " he heard Ryosuke say. He gave out a slight chuckle and then placed the slippers on the floor near Ryosuke's feet.
"Arigatou." Ryosuke put on the slippers and they entered inside the living room where Yuto saw Ryosuke's older sister watching TV.
"Chihiro-san, konichiwa." Yuto greeted her. Chihiro was surprised when she heard such a familiar voice. She looked back and her eyes widened.
"Yuto-kun!" She said in a surprised tone.
"I told you we shouldn't have taken that train." Ryosuke scolded his sister.
"Well, I was in a hurry already." He defended herself.
"We're going to my room." Chihiro Understood what her brother meant so she just said yes and then returned back to watching TV.
Ryosuke hit his stick everywhere just to make sure it's safe and Yuto was just tagging behind him. They eventually reached the second floor and in the last door on the right was Ryosuke's room. He opened the door and they both got inside. Yuto looked at Ryosuke's room and it was very tidy. He had his bed in the middle and a bedside table near it. He also had a table with a lot of books and a lamp on it. His closet was in front of his bed and his sax was opposite to where the bedside table was.
"You still play?" Yuto asked as soon as he saw Ryosuke's saxophone.
"Hai. I occasionally do." Ryosuke answered him. He was then walking to his drawer and then opened the one on the very top.
"Yuto, kocchi." Yuto followed his order and came near him. Ryosuke then gave Yuto the case of his eyeglasses.
"You want me to wear these?" Yuto was confused. What was the case gonna explain to him on what happened two years ago.
"Baka... Open it." He looked at the case again. He was not sure what this is all about but nevertheless he did what Ryosuke told him to do. Inside the case were Ryosuke's old pair of glasses but it was broken and the frame was all mashed up.
"What is this suppose to mean?" He raised the glasses which were on the verge of falling apart. Yuto took even a more closer look tl find if he was missing something.
"Those were the glasses I wore when the accident happened. You didn't notice but some of the glass in my frame got inside my eyes and it caused me this." Ryosuke explained. Yuto then started to remember what happened again. When he approached Ryosuke lying on the street he had his face down so he couldn't see it very well.
"The reason you went missing was because you got blind?" Yuto wanted to clarify it. The way Yuto sees it, why would he leave because of that. But what was making him even more confused is that why did he not tell him.
"No. That's not it. It's only a part of it. When I was in the hospital they also ran some tests on me to make sure of everything and they found this." Ryosuke handed Yuto some papers and he read them. As he keeps doing so he gets more tensed. He couldn't believe what he was reading. He felt like breaking when he did. Yuto dropped all the papers on the floor and hugged Ryosuke. The shorter was caught off guard by Yuto's sudden affection.
"Gomen. Gomen. I shouted at you without knowing anything. I got mad and I'm so despicable." Yuto started crying. He felt so disgusted of himself for wasting himself on all those things when Ryosuke was going through even something much worse.
"I understand Yuto. I am also sorry for not saying a word to you guys. I just didn't know how to without falling apart." Ryosuke was crying too. He ran his hand on Yuto's back and hugged him with the same pressure too. Ryosuke really missed yuto so much that he longed for him everyday for the past two years. He really wanted Yuto to be beside him forever. It was only Yuto who knows everything about him and how to handle him. Leaving Yuto was the most painful thing he had ever done and now that Yuto's is here again he doesn't know if he could let go again.
"I love you Ryosuke." Hearing that made Ryosuke cry even harder. He didn't want to hear these words again. He doesn't want to hurt Yuto anymore. He can't bear the pain of Yuto being sad and lonely but Ryosuke knows he can't be the one who's gonna stay by Yuto's side forever.
"Do you love me too?" Yuto broke the hug and set a little gap for them so he would see Ryosuke's face. Ryosuke was surprised with Yuto's sudden qiestion. He doesn't know what to say.
"The last time I asked you this you said you love me too but we can't be together. Is this why?" Ryosuke nodded his head.
"But I only want you Ryosuke. It's only you who I need. I can't let you go this time. No matter how much you push me away I will never leave you. Even if you do, I won't ever leave you for another." Ryosuke would be a liar if he didn't say that it affect him but he still couldn't afford to take that risk. He can't hurt Yuto. He doesn't want him to suffer again.
"I'm sorry but-"
"Just say you love me dammit!" He pulled Ryosuke and landed his lips on his. Ryosuke was of course surprised but he can't say he doesn't like it. Yuto's soft lips on his was like a dream come true. It was sending him to cloud nine, both of them. Ryosuke could even feel Yuto's love for him in that kiss and he started tearing up again. They parted for air and Yuto rested his forehead on Ryosuke's and looked at him lovingly.
"Just say it and nothing wrong will happen." He said in a soft tone. He grabbed Ryosuke's hand and placed it on his chest. Ryosuke could feel Yuto's strong heart beat. The heart that is beating for him. He took a deep breath and thought of everything but eventually he moved his hands to Yuto's cheeks and cupped them. His hands moved to Yuto's eyes and to his ears, to Yuto's nose and lastly his lips. Ryosuke really wanted to see Yuto now. To see how much he's grown since two years ago. He really missed him.
"So what do you say?" Yuto asked him again.
"I love you too."
