A month has passed since our two main characters have found out they are inlove. We all know Ryosuke has fallen in love with our dashing Nakajima Yuto and likewise for him.
But the question is, if they are both inlove with each other then why aren't they together? It's very obvious right? Well, first they don't know how one feels for the other. Second, Ryosuke is afraid Yuto might change his mind if he finds out that Ryosuke is actually a boy And lastly, Yuto is still confused with his past.
What past may you ask? Well like any cliff hanger story, you should just read to find out.
"Ne Yuri, should I confess to hm already?" Ryosuke and Yuri were inside the dressing room waiting for Kei to arrive. She has a photoshoot with Yuto for the poster ad of the drama. Right now she was lying down on the sofa and Yuri was busy typing in his laptop o the other couch.
"You know Ryosuke. You have asked me for the nth time already and I keep on saying yes." Yuri's tone showed how annoyed he was already of answering the same question over and over again for the past month. He even asks Hikaru about it too and he also answers him everytime he asks.
"But Yuri what if he will reject me! We would be awkward on set. And I don't want to drag other people behind for my mistakes." He explained. Yuri got enough of this confess or not scenario. He shut down his laptop then moved towards Ryosuke and sat on his butt.
"Hey get off! You're heavy!" Ryosuke tried to shake him off but Yuri managed to stay where he was.
"Listen here Ryosuke." He said in a serious tone. Ryosuke stopped wiggling when he realized it too.
"You will never live if you don't try anything. Playing safe is boring. Sometimes you have to take risks. Sure they may hurt you if you don't want the right response from him but it's a learning experience. We were put here on earth to live and if you're just gonna mope around and annoy your best friend about some typical question, then that's not living. Okay?"
"Un. Arigatou." Ryouske said. Yuri patted his head then went down from his butt and returned back to his laptop.
"So I should confess?" Yuri wanted to strangle the life out of his best friend if Kei didn't arrive. Yuri took a deep breathe and just went on like he didn't hear what Ryouske said earlier.
"Ohayou Inoo-kyun!" Ryouske greeted him then proceeded to the make-up table.
"Ohayou!" Kei replied. He assembled all his things and then started to transform Ryosuke into Ryo-chan.
"Ryosuke, I'm going out for a while." Yuri said as he fixed his stuff and was ready to leave.
"Eh? Where are you going?" Ryosuke asked him.
"Somewhere. Don't worry I'll be back soon." Before Ryosuke could ask more questions, Yuri has already left the room.
"Where is he going?" Ryosuke said in a soft voice as soon as Yuri closed the door. For the past month actually Yuri has been more cold than usual. Sometimes when Ryosuke's talking he would just keep on nodding his head and focus more on his laptop. He knows that being a manager is hard but he feels that Yuri is doing a little bit too much.
"Is something wrong?" Kei asked him. He noticed Ryosuke looking at the door through the mirror ever since Yuri left. Ryosuke's eyebrows were furrowed and he looked like he was in deep thought.
"Eh? Nothing's wrong. I was just thinking." Ryosuke answered. Kei didn't ask anymore further. He continued on his work for an hour more and Ryosuke turned into Ryo-chan.
"Something's not right." Kei said as he was eyeing Ryosuke from head to toe. Ryosuke was quite surprised of what Kei said so he tried looking at himself too. Maybe there was something missing or something that wrong but he found nothing. Kei moved forward and lifted Ryosuke's chin up then pinched both his cheeks.
"I-itai!" Ryosuke said. Kei let go of his cheeks and Ryosuke looked at him with a confused look.
"Don't frown. It ruins my masterpiece. Put a smile on to turn that frown upside down." Kei pulled Ryosuke's cheeks upward and if made a very funny and weird face. Ryosuke noticed Kei stifling a laugh so be slapped his hand away playfully.
"What's bothering you?" Kei asked him as he pulled a chair out and sat beside Ryosuke. "Feels like something's eating you up?" Kei placed his hand on top of Ryosuke and showed him a concerned look.
"It's just Yuri. He's seems very busy these days and it makes me think that I caused him to be overly stressed." Ryosuke created this giant circle in the air just to exaggerate the point.
"You are causing my stress." Both Kei and Ryosuke looked back and saw Yuri entering while bringing in a cup of coffee. "But I can't blame you." Yuri sighed. He sat back down the couch and opened his laptop again.
"You're my best friend and I was the one who let you into this anyway." He did not take his eyes off the screen while talking and so did Ryosuke and Kei. They also didn't take their eyes off Yuri. Both of them just listened to what Yuri was saying.
"Who are you and what have you done with my best friend?" Ryosuke slipped out his mouth. He never in a million year imagined Yuri showing so much concern for him but he can't say it didn't feel nice to hear. He saw Yuri throw a glare at him and he cowered back.
"Hurry up already. You have an interview at 10. It's for a cooking show so I know you'll be fine." Yuri heard complete silence. He stopped typing on the keys and looked at Ryosuke. Yuri was quite surprised at what he saw. Ryosuke's tears were streaming down his face and he was continuously sniffing. Kei tried stopping him because it'll ruin his make-up but Ryosuke couldn't stop.
"Na-na-nani?!" Yuri backed away a little as Ryosuke was walking towards him. He tried to escape but he was too late and Ryosuke gave him a tight bear hug.
"I can't breathe!" He tried pushing Ryosuke away but was futile in doing so. Ryosuke hugged him like how a snake would kill its prey.
"Gomene Yuri! You sacrificed a lot for me and there's nothing in return I'd did for you." Ryosuke said between sniffs. He then heard Yuri sigh and felt him stomping on his foot.
"Itai!" Ryosuke pulled back and soothed his aching foot but still continued on crying. Maybe twice as hard now because his foot got crushed.
"Listen Ryosuke, I'm not good with all these mushy sweet friend stuff and I don't say this often... more like I have never said this before but I do care about you and if you wanna return all the things I've done for you then don't let this opportunity go to waste. Just do your best and I'll be happy." Yuri showed him a smile and it made him cry even harder. He was almost wailing in the dressing room. He couldn't help but to hug Yuri again only to be stepped on his other foot.
*knock knock
"Ryo-chan are you ready?" Yuto took a look inside and saw Kei finishing up Ryosuke's make-up.
"Ah hai. We're almost done." Kei replied for Ryosuke because he was retouching his lipstick on. Kei actually put on more make-up than usual to cover Ryosuke's puffy eyes and red nose.
Yuto entered the dressing room and sat on the couch opposite of Yuri and was paying attention at Ryosuke. He really admires how beautiful he is. He still doesn't know that Ryosuke's a guy so he doesn't question his self for admiring a face like his.
"You like her don't you?" Yuto snapped out of his trance and looked at Yuri with a shocked and nervous expression.
"E-Eh? Me? And Ryo-chan? Hehe... muri! I didn't know you can make up jokes too Chinen-san." Yuto faked a laugh and it was very obvious. Yuto started sweating even if the air con is in full blast. He kept breathing in and out just to cool down his system.
Yuri is very smart to know that Yuto is lying. He's like a human scanner; he knows everything about you with just one look. Yuri's looking at Yuto with a don't-lie-to-me-look together with a i-already-know-everything look too. Yuto doesn't know how he can get out of this so he just confessed.
"I give up. I do like her." Yuto said in a soft voice so that only the two of them could hear. Yuri just nodded in response. "But don't tell Ryo-chan!" Yuto moved beside Yuri and placed his hands on Yuri's shoulders and looked at him intensely.
"Don't worry. Your secret is safe with me." He assured him. Yuto nodded his head and let go of Yuri. He then went back at looking at Ryosuke and admiring him.
"It's just that when I'm with her, it feels like I know her for a long time now and so does she. It makes me smile whenever I'm with her." Yuto was telling Yuri what he felt about Ryosuke. Yuri was typing on his laptop but nevertheless listened to Yuto.
"You know the feeling of comfort when you're with someone you like. It's like you never wanna leave his side." The way Yuto was telling all of these was really calm and you could really feel the love he has for Ryosuke. Yuri looked expressionless outside but inside he was happy that there was someone like Yuto loving Ryosuke; someone that will treasure him and be with him till forever.
"Don't you think so Chinen-san?"
"Eh? Nani?" Yuri was caught up in his own thoughts that he didn't hear what Yuto was saying.
"I said don't you think Ryo-chan is hiding something?" Yuri's eyed widened. His jaw almost dropped to the floor and for through first time in 10 years Yuri was nervous.
"W-wh-what made you say that?" He stuttered at first but then regained his self back and asked as how he would usually do.
"I don't know. It's just sometimes he tells me something then he stops halfway like he doesn't want me to know anymore." Yuto explained. There are times when Ryosuke is like that. He forgets that he's acting like a girl and tells Yuto some stories about his life that'll end up spilling the beans.
"Maybe he forgot what he was suppose to say. You know Ryosuke has very poor memory of his past. He had amnesia when he was 7 years old. " Yuri told him then he looked at Yuto and he was surprised to see an also surprised face from Yuto.
"Eh? Yuto-san?" Yuri saw him snap out.
"What is it?" Yuto asked him.
"I'm suppose to say that. You were acting weird a while ago." Something in what Yuri said set something inside Yuto's brain or in his memory. It actually worried Yuri about that. He felt like something bad was gonna happen and he would regret everything that he said to Yuto.
"I'm done! Yuto-kun, let's go?" Ryosuke showed up in front of them in his Ryo-chan mode and he looks like he didn't cry earlier. He is even more cheerful now.
"Hai. Let's go." Yuto stood up from his seat and walked ahead over Ryosuke out the room.
"Be careful." Yuri reminded him. It was quite odd that Yuri said it because he would usually say 'take care' or 'good luck' but something like this worried Ryosuke. Did something happen between him and Yuto a while ago? Ryosuke couldn't erase the uneasiness but nevertheless he walked out the door and Yuto was waiting for him outside.
They walked out the building together in total silence. It was quite awkward for Ryosuke not hearing Yuto talk but Yuto was still in his head and did not realize the tensed atmosphere.
"Ano, Yuto-kun-"
"Ryo-chan." Yuto interrupted him. Ryosuke was walking in front of Yuto so he turned around to face him.
"Nani?" Ryosuke asked.
"From your childhood, do you ever remember someone giving you a necklace that also lights up?" Ryosuke thought long and hard. His childhood was pretty blurry for him. He could only resembled fragments and small details.
"Ah! My mom told me that when I was cleaning up my room when I was 8. She told me that it was given to me by my best friend and that I should never lose it." Ryosuke told him.
"Why did you ask?"
"Oh nothing." Yuto answered him with a fake chuckle but Ryosuke never realized it.
"Sou. Let's hurry up or we're gonna be late." Ryosuke turned back around and started walking but Yuto was still stoned in his place. He kept staring at Ryosuke's back and he had this expression of longing.
"I've found you." He said in his mind.
"Ryosuke."
