The three of them were situated inside a café. They ordered drinks but no one was drinking them. Yabu still couldn’t believe that Ryosuke is right here in front of him like nothing had happened. Well, something did but he didn’t expect to meet Ryosuke this way. Yabu was sitting with a confused face on, staring at the two of them.
“Yabu-chan?” Ryosuke called out his name. After knowing that his precious punyukichi was blind, Yabu felt sorry for him and somewhat blaming himself for not looking for Ryosuke when he went missing.
“Hai, Yama-chan?”
“I’m sorry for not telling this to you and for suddenly disappearing from the group. I was scared of what all of you will say.” Ryouske shared his true feelings. Yabu felt even sadder of what Ryosuke told him and of what he was going through these past two years. He hated himself more for not taking care of Ryosuke. As the leader and eldest in JUMP, he had the responsibility of looking out for the younger ones and to take them to the right path. All of them are adults now but Yabu still feels that he needs to look after JUMP.
He gave out a sigh and then held Ryosuke’s hand on top of the table. “It’s okay Yama-chan, I understand how you feel and I’m sorry for not being able to take care of you when you were in that situation.” Ryosuke shook his head and gave Yabu a soft smile.
“Yabu-chan loves JUMP as much as I do. You don’t have to blame yourself. This was my fault not yours nor JUMP’s.” He was smiling brightly even though his eyes were lifeless; the emotions are still passing through.
“Enough of this. How ‘bout you two, when did you hook up together.” Yuto and Ryosuke were
blushing with Yabu’s question. He didn’t want to cry in front of them so he treid to change the topic. At the same time, the couple didn’t completely say about Ryosuke’s true condition; only the part where he was blind.
“Yabu-kun!!! It’s not that important. Don’t ask those kinds of questions.” Yuto replied while hiding his blush under the sleeve of his jacket. Yabu was having fun teasing the couple. It was as if nothing changed between the two of them. Like Ryosuke never disappeared.
“Eh? But I want to know.” He felt happy seeing the two of them together again. “ At least now you know that we’re together. That’s enough already.” Ryosuke wasn’t saying anything. He looked too embarrassed of talking. He might say something that isn’t supposed to be said. The shorter just kept on playing with Yuto’s fingers under the table.
They had a little reunion in the café. It was about nine in the evening when they ended it because the shop was going to close too. Two years of being apart meant that a lot has already happened and just a few hours wasn’t enough to finish all the stories.
“Take care okay! Yuto, take Ryosuke straight home!” His eyebrows were rising in a teasing manner and Yuto beamed like a red traffic light.
“ Of course I will.” The taller’s voice stiffened of embarrassment. With one last goodbye, they separate ways and Yuto was taking his boyfriend home. They were riding a train and sat at the back. Ryosuke was sitting on the window side while Yuto was near the aisle. It was already late at night so only a number of passengers were on board. Ryosuke was resting his head on Yuto’s shoulder and their hands were linked with one another.
Yuto look a glance at Ryosuke and saw that the shorter was already asleep. His breathing was calmer and his mouth was slightly opened. He wrapped his arm around Ryosuke and let him sleep on his chest where he could be comfortable. His boyfriend then suddenly released his hand from him and clutched onto Yuto’s shirt lightly and buried his face in his chest.
From Yuto’s point of view, Ryosuke was very cute. He wanted to squeeze him and hug him tight but he didn’t want to wake him up from his slumber. Ryosuke had a tiring day so he deserved proper rest.
Yuto was such a gentleman that he didn’t wake up Ryosuke even after they left the bus. He was giving him a piggy-back ride home too. It was only a block away from the bus stop so Yuto just carried him instead of waking him up and making him walk. Using his arm, he bumped the doorbell and waited for someone to open the door.
“Ah! Yuto-kun!” Mrs. Yamada was surprised to see Yuto carrying Ryosuke on his back.
“Good evening auntie.” Yuto greeted the woman.
“I’m sorry for making you carrying Ryosuke like this. You could’ve just waked him up.” Ryouske’s mother let Yuto inside their house and changed into his indoor slippers.
“Can I ask you favor? Can you bring Ryosuke to his room? I’m a little busy right now.” Mrs. Yamada asked Yuto and of course the taller didn’t refuse. Even if this was only his second time being in here, he knew every turn and where everything can be found.
Yuto managed to open the doorknob and entered Ryosuke’s room. He set his boyfriend down on his soft fluffy mattress slowly and unwrapped his arms on his neck but Ryouske had quite a grip.
“Stay.” He saw Ryosuke’s eyes flutter open and it was the cutest thing he ever saw. With the way his boyfriend looks, he can’t just say no.
“Okay. Just let me call my parents.” Yuto kissed Ryosuke’s temple and the shorter removed his grip from Yuto and lied down on his bed; hugging his pig stuff toy and burying his face into it.
Yuto fished out his phone from his pocket and speed dialed their telephone number at home. After three rings he hears Raiya picking up from the other line.
“Moshi-moshi?” Raiya’s voice was groggy. Maybe he was asleep and was waken up the ringing of the telephone.
“Raiya? Are mom and dad home?”
“Nii-chan? No, they’re not yet. I heard that they attended mom’s boss’ birthday party and won’t be back till midnight.”
“Can you tell them that I can’t come home tonight?” Yuto asked a favor from his brother. His family still didn’t know that he’s been reunited with Ryosuke so it’ll be quite a shocker if they heard the news.
“Huh? Why? Don’t tell me you’re gonna do something reckless again.” Raiya was more like the big brother here than Yuto. Well, for two years, it has been Raiya that was taking care of Yuto every time he did something stupid like getting drunk or causing fights. Yuto actually has been to jail four times for causing public disturbance.
“Um. I’m going to have a sleep over at Ryosuke’s house.”
“Oh. Ryosuke-nii’s house? Okay. I’ll tell mom and dad.” Raiya might be so sleepy that he didn’t realize it but then suddenly his eyes went wide.
“Thanks Raiya! I’ll be back tomorrow morning okay! Bye!”
“Oi, wait! Nii-chan!!” Before he could ask again, Yuto had already ended the call. Raiya just ruffled his hair and went back to bed. He’ll just interrogate his brother when he comes home tomorrow morning.
“What’d they say?” Ryosuke asked him after he heard his goodbye to Raiya.
“They said yes.” Ryosuke moved a little to the side so Yuto could slip in beside him on the king sized bed. “Why is your bed so huge?” Yuto chuckled. For Ryosuke to be the only one sleeping here, the bed was pretty big for him.
“So that I won’t fall idiot. I’m such a clumsy sleeper so I need a lot of space.” The shorter moved closer to Yuto; finding his warmth and presence. As soon as he found it, Ryosuke wrapped his arm around Yuto’s chest and his legs over Yuto’s.
“What do you think I am? You’re human teddy bear?” Yuto was quite amused at Ryosuke cute actions. It was like he was a little kid trying to find attention but it’s not like Yuto hates it; he even likes Ryosuke trying to be all childish and wanting to be pampered.
“Yep. You’re my bony human teddy bear.” For someone that’s blind, Ryosuke sure loves to tease; especially his lover.
“Why you little rascal.” Yuto topped Ryosuke and started tickling him. Ryosuke was frantically laughing and tears were coming out of his eyes. The taller was attacking his sides and trapped him in between his legs so that his lover can’t get away.
“Who’s bony?” He pinned Ryosuke’s arms with his own and stared down at him. Ryosuke was still panting hard from all that laughing.
“Stop!!! I give up.” The shorter was still giggling and had this wide smile on his face. Yuto really saw him as someone delicate and precious. He valued Ryosuke so much more than anything in this universe.
Yuto leaned down and pressed his lips on Ryosuke’s pink plump ones. He placed his hand behind Ryosuke’s head and the other was holding onto his waist.
“I love you very much.” Yuto said as he inhaled his lover’s scent. The scent he had been missing these past two years. The one he has always had that addiction of smelling. Yuto couldn’t sleep if he can’t smell this sweet scent of Ryosuke.
“I love you too Yuto.” Ryosuke wrapped his arms around Yuto’s neck and gave him an embrace. They slept in each other’s arms and for the first time in two years, Yuto didn’t get a nightmare for his guardian angel beside him was guarding him with such a powerful embrace.
Morning came in a flash. Yuto was already done taking a bath and wore the clothes Ryosuke gave him. While waiting for his lover to finish bathing, he roamed around his room and his eyes caught something familiar on Ryosuke’s study table. It was JUMP’s picture way before when there were 10 of them. Those days when they were complete and playing around like little rascals. The choreographer had a hard time scolding them every time they don’t pay attention.
The next picture frame was of his family; the five of them having a picnic in a garden. The last picture then almost made Yuto cry. It was a picture of the two of them from two years ago. It was Ryosuke’s birthday and JUMP surprised him with a party. In the picture, Yuto and Ryosuke were wearing children’s party hats and Yuto was hugging Ryosuke from behind while the two of them smiling brightly in front of the camera. Their faces were smudge with icing because Yuto started it then Ryosuke wanted revenge and wiped some icing on his face as well. This was such a happy memory for Yuto and one of the best he ever had.
His eyes also caught something interesting on Ryosuke’s table. It was lyrics for a song. He read it and almost broke down. The lyrics were really meaningful. It struck him heart big time. He didn’t expect all those memories flooding back into his mind. The memories of Ryosuke and him having fun with JUMP. The lyrics screamed longing and loneliness.
“Yuto?” Ryosuke called out his name as he walked out the bathroom. Ryosuke was drying his hair with a towel and walked slowly to his bed. He knew his room like the back of his palm so it wasn’t that difficult for him to know where he was going.
“Ryosuke, is this song for JUMP?” Ryosuke nodded his head.
“How do you manage to write this?”
“Well, I record the song first then let my sister type it for me. I send both the recording and the lyrics to Johnny-san.” This wasn’t what Yuto was asking him about. He wanted to know how Ryosuke was able to write with such painful words and meanings.
“That’s not it Ryosuke. What I meant was how were you able to write this song without breaking down?” Yuto sat beside Ryosuke and looked at him straight in the eyes but Ryosuke was just showing him a smile. The shorter then cupped Yuto’s cheek and rubbed his cheeks.
“idiot. Who said I didn’t break down while writing this? If I could remember, I think it took me three months to finish this song because it’s too painful if I continue to write it without hurting myself even more on the inside.” He felt Yuto’s chest pressed him his face and his arms were wrapped around him.
“I’m sorry Ryosuke. I’m sorry for letting you bear with this pain alone.” He was on the verge of crying too but he held it in while Yuto was already crying his heart out and kept on embracing his lover even tighter trying to convey everything he wanted to apologize for.
“It’s okay Yuto. It’s all alright now.”
“As long as you embrace me like this, I know that everything’s gonna be alright.”
“I love You Yuto. Forever and Always.”
