Do you ever wonder how on earth the supermarkets get so much completley perfect produce? I can't think of a single thing to come out of our greenhouses that could be classified as 'perfect'.

Well done though, looks like you got a lot more than last year?

Thanks. I'm getting a fair amount this year, but my plants have done loads better so I have a fair few to find homes for come the winter. I still have quite a few with fruit on so it should keep me going a while!

Probably perfectly controlled eco-systems and just the exact right balance of sun and nutrients.

I'm sure I read a while ago that they were now growing carrots in vats of feed and chemicals rather than, y'know, all that chaotic soil stuff.

That doesn't surprise me at all. A lot of my chilies end up with a curve because there's a branch underneath them. I should think they employ someone to make sure all the fruit is moved away from any branches to make it too curly :-)
