[you know the last thing Isabelle wants to see? Her other brother's death. So when she calls him, she does try to speak. It just fails miserably.

[After a moment, she reaches up to cover her mouth with one hand - the only real sign that she was affected by the sight at all, besides the lack of usual chattiness. She swallows, and then manages:] What was that?

[Damn it...He made sure Max wouldn't see but he was hoping Isabelle wouldn't.]

A really bad nightmare. I think will abstain from naps in the middle of the day.

Yeah. [her tone is snapping.] Probably a good idea.

[There's a small look of concern in her green eyes, one she hides well with the following small teasing smile that she gives him]

Bad memory or did you ate something you shouldn't have?

[She's leaning more toward the former. She knows how this world tends to show memories you don't want people to see.]

Lara. Remind me never to eat before a mid-day nap again.

[Of course it's the former but he's not admitting to that.]

[She smiles further more even though his answer, the way he evades the whole thing, is enough for her to file the information for later]

Jace, you shouldn't eat before your mid-day nap.
