Word count: 720
Summary: Chloe finds some small Christmas surprises at Watchtower.
A/N: This is written for the 16th day of the  smallearth advent calendar, the picture prompt is below. Also I just love this time of year because you can use mistletoe to get any two characters together. I just think it’s brilliant.

Looking around Chloe couldn’t believe it. It wasn’t like she didn’t like Christmas but, as far as she was concerned, this was a little bit of overkill, even for her boss. Still he wouldn’t be her boss if he didn’t do something wildly eccentric or unnecessary. She really should have seen it coming before now but for some reason she just assumed that Oliver would withdraw at this time of year. It seemed like the natural thing for someone who rarely celebrated Christmas to do. However he’d had left her stumped.
Turning around the room it amazed her that Oliver had literally covered Watchtower in poinsettia flowers. They were lined around desks, on top of monitors and even on both sides of the staircase. Her boss was truly amazing. It was astounding that he didn’t have a girlfriend to shower this sort of attention on.
Absently picking up the phone when it rang she continued to turn around the room while saying, “Hello.”
“So how do they look?”
“They’re amazing Oliver. I can’t believe you did this,” Chloe gushed.
“Well the team and I wanted to do something to show how much we appreciate you and everything you do for us.” Oliver replied.
“It’s too much,” Chloe protested, “They’re on every available surface. I’m not sure how I’m going to get any work done.”
“That’s the point. If you look under your desk you’ll see your next surprise.”
Jogging over she reached under and pulled out a golden envelope. Placing the phone into the nearest pot she ripped the envelope open and gasped at what she saw.
Grabbing the phone again she said, “Ollie this too much.”
“No it’s not,” Oliver replied and she knew that he was shaking his head.
“A golden ticket to an exclusive spa where I can have any treatment I want at anytime for the next twelve hours. It’s too much.”
“We just want to you to spend some time relaxing, taking care of yourself.”
“So if I ring the boys they’ll know about this,” Chloe asked, raising an eyebrow she knew he couldn’t see.
“Well no but they would agree,” Oliver argued, “Now please go pamper yourself. You have til six and then I’m coming to get you and we’re going out for dinner.”
“Fine, I’ll see you then.”

Walking into Watchtower eight hours later Chloe couldn’t help but feel completely relaxed. If nothing else she had to admit Oliver was right. She had really needed a day to herself. It was nice to have someone looking after her for a change but she had no intention of telling him that, especially when he was looking at her with that smile. Picking up one of the plants she held it out to him.
Smiling as he laughed and took it she was surprised when he just asked, “Ready to go?’ and didn’t comment on anything else.
Nodding she followed him out she smiled when she saw the mistletoe over their heads. Pointing upwards she gestured to it.
“Well I guess we should,” Oliver replied, staring at the mistletoe.
“Yeah I guess we really should.” Chloe nodded, “Whenever you’re ready.”
Watching as he nodded she saw his eyes darken slightly. Feeling a hand brush through her hair she took in a deep breath hoping to keep some kind of control. Watching as he leaned down slowly she sighed when she felt his lips finally touch her own. It was everything that she wanted it to be. It was light and teasing. He was a master at kissing. His lips slowly moved over hers teasing them gently, as his hand slide further into her hair. Stretching her hand out, she wrapped it slowly around his back moving so that he was standing closer to her.
Finally, when it seemed that she needed a new breath desperately, she pulled away resting her forehead on his.
“Wow,” he whispered, “I wasn’t expecting that to happen.”
“Neither was I. Then again I didn’t decorate this place.”
“Well Bart helped,” Oliver replied, finally pulling away from her, “He was most likely hoping for that to happen with him.”
“To bad, huh,” she whispered.
Oliver nodded, “Yeah. Now how about we go to dinner and talk about this some more?”
“I’d like that. I’d like that a lot,” Chloe replied.
