Sitting out on the porch Chloe couldn’t help but feel like she was at home. Sure she loved the house that she and Oliver lived in and she loved they way that they had made it into everything that they had wanted it to be. The Kent farm though, it was the Kent Farm. How couldn’t she love it? It was irresistible. With its lush green paddocks and its stunning views there wasn’t much not to love. She had spent most of her childhood there and it was sad to think about what was happening.
The Kent’s were selling the place.
It made sense. Martha spent the majority of her time in Washington, working her senate job. Clark spent his time in Metropolis with Lois and their apartment, having moved off the farm years ago to stop Lois from having to take her allergy tablets. Sure Clark still came out once a week to do his jobs but that wasn’t enough to have the farm turn a profit. Still she couldn’t help but feel reminiscent about the place. She had gone there every year for Christmas since her she had moved to Smallville. The farm was where Clark had learnt to trust her with his secret, they had hung out with Pete, and it was where she had met Oliver for the first time. Without the farm they wouldn’t have had their love story. It wouldn’t have started in her mind. She wouldn’t have been able to have the opinion that she had if she had met Oliver any other way. She would have had to smile and be polite. She wouldn’t know his secret.
So much about their lives had come from that chance meeting in the barn. Now it would be a place for others to meet for them to run about and have fun. Explore and ride horses, not that Chloe enjoyed that. Still it was a place to go to clear her head, get away from the stress of the city. While she was a self professed city girl somehow this place had grown on her. It was in her blood. She finally understood why people liked country towns and now the one place that could be credited for it was being sold. It still shocked her, rattled her, shock her core. It was insane to think that a place could have that affect but known the less it had.
Turning as she heard footsteps behind her she smiled at Oliver as he came into her line of sight. Waiting for the news that the place had already been sold she accepted his embrace.
“Well it’s done.”
Chloe nodded, “It’s already been sold. I knew it was a long shot but I was hoping...”
“No Chloe,” Oliver whispered with a shake of his head, “It’s done. The place is ours.”
“Seriously?’
“Seriously, as long as you still want it,” Oliver said, “You haven’t changed your mind?”
“Not for a single second. I want this place to be ours more than anything,” Chloe whispered.
“Well now it is.”
The end.

“You want me to learn how to surf? Seriously? Surfing?” Chloe asked, her eyebrow raised and her arms crossed over her chest.
“Why not?” Oliver replied, “The day is beautiful, so the surf and the woman I’m with. Why can’t we surf together?”
“How about I relax on the beach and watch as you go surfing?”
“Cause we’re supposed to be doing thing together. You know that. This is my only day off.”
“And had you listened to my suggestion we would be relaxing, naked, in your bed at the penthouse. But no you want to go to Coast City and surf.”
Oliver shrugged, “Well I thought you would wear a bikini at least.”
“I don’t own a bikini.”
Oliver shook his head. He couldn’t believe that she had just said that to him, like that. Like it was the simplest thing in the world for her not to have a bikini. It wasn’t. How could she not own a bikini? How could he not have known that before now? They had been dating for a year and in that time they had gone to the beach... once. Still he was sure that she must have had one in a draw somewhere, especially considering the fact that she wore some very revealing underwear in the bedroom for him.
“Why don’t you own a bikini?”
“There’s no need to show off that much skin Oliver, especially not in public.” Chloe replied with a shake of her head, “In case you haven’t realised I’m not very confident about my body when it comes to showing it off in public.”
Oliver shook his head again. He couldn’t believe this either. Pulling her closer he wrapped his arms around her waist before saying, “Chloe you are the most beautiful woman that I have ever seen. And I’m not just saying that cause I love you or I want to get in your pants. I’m saying it because it’s true. It’s the truest fact I know. Your body curves in this amazing way, enough so that there’s something to need when I want to feel you but not so much that you’re over weight.
“You look amazing in anything you wear. It’s all about the way you wear it. The attitude that you present makes all the other girls run to the hills. And most importantly you have a personality behind that body. It just makes you so much hotter. Trust me. I’m a billionaire.”
“So I should take the word of any billionaire?”
Oliver nodded, “We often speak the truth.”
“So when Lex called me a nosy, child who should butt out that was true?”
“Well Lex is usually the exception that proves the rule.”
“That’s just a simple way of saying ignore him.”
“It is.”
“I like it,” Chloe replied with an approving nod. Kissing him softly she whispered against his lips, “And I’ve been meaning to get a bikini but I thought you might want to be there when I try it on.”
Swallowing quickly Oliver opened his mouth as his head nodded, “Oh I defiantly want that.”
The end.

“So this is them?” Oliver asked, looking around the cave, “Somehow I thought that they would be more impressive than this.”
Chloe laughed and shook her head, “Somehow I knew that you were going to say that.”
“Well it’s dark and dirty down here,” Oliver complained, “And the pictures are faded and don’t make much sense. Forgive me if I like my cave art to be making sense.”
Chloe shook her head, “But you’re surrounded by history. How can you not like this?”
“Sidekick, it’s well established that I don’t like the same things that you do,” Oliver replied with a sigh, “You should remember this by now.”
“So the only thing we get to have in common is the fact that we’re both in the hero business and we have amazingly hot sex.”
“I think those are great things to have in common but we have more working for us than that.”
“Name them.”
Oliver nodded, “We have no secrets. We both know what the other likes and dislikes. We both know the heart ache of losing parents.”
“That’s it?”
“I’m sorry I didn’t realise this tour would involve a questionnaire. Let me get out my answer sheet and cheat.”
Chloe shrugged, “I just don’t understand us at times. We’re so different.”
“Maybe, in things like out likes and dislikes but when it comes to the fundamental things we’re solid.”
“Are you sure or are you just saying what you think I want to hear?”
Oliver sighed. It was never easy when Chloe got like this but he knew that he just had to be calm, patient. She would understand as soon as she wanted to. It was just how things were. Moving over to her he ran a hand down her arm.
“Tell me honestly did you connect with Jimmy the way that we connect?”
“No.”
“And why was that?”
“Mainly because we had secrets, I had secrets. We didn’t really want the same things in life, we just didn’t want to be alone. But we had a lot in common as well.”
“And where did that get you? Having things in common?”
“Divorced.”
“Do you think that would happen to us if we got married?” Oliver whispered, “And answer truthfully please.”
“If I ever let you propose, then no I don’t think it would but that doesn’t mean that we’re a good match.”
“Just work with me here,” Oliver continued, dismissing her argument, “Why do you think that we could work?”
“Cause we share a lot of fundamental things. We both want kids, we both understand the others work and there compulsion to be the way that we are when it comes to that work.”
“And that’s more than you and Jimmy had, right?”
“Yes. What we have is more than that?”
“So maybe if I propose you’ll say yes. Someday, in the very distant future.”
Smiling at Oliver Chloe nodded, “Yes if in the very distant future you proposed I would say yes.”
“Ok, now can we get out of these caves? They’re creeping me out.”
The End.
Fic: Reunion

Summary: Chloe gets to see what Excelsior is all about

scifiland big bang challenge
Glancing around the place Chloe couldn’t help but feel shocked. How could someone go to school here? It was a monstrosity. How could anyone possibly get an education here? The place was so big, the corridors dark, the dorms murky and dreary. The classrooms were all similar. Nothing on the wall, the desks all in rows and the blackboard was clearly only written on in white chalk. The whole place screamed uniformity and structure.
It was no wonder why Oliver ran around in green form fitting leather every night. If she had come to a place like this she would find the need to do something whacky like that too.
Following Oliver further down the hall she didn’t want to know what he was going to show her next. She hoped it wouldn’t leave her feeling as sorry for him as she did at the moment. She couldn’t imagine what it would be like to be raised in a school like this. It was weird to think that Oliver had been. He had turned out remarkable well in her opinion. She would have gone a little stir crazy in a place like this, especially with the drab feel it had.
Smiling at him as he took her hand she smiled as he pulled her to him, “What?”
“Just come here,” he replied, tugging on her arm until she was standing in front of him.
Laughing as he placed a hand over her eyes she said, “What are you doing?”
“I’m going to show you something. It’s where I used to go all the time. It made this place bearable.”
Allowing for him to lead her down the corridor she prayed this would make it all worthwhile. She had agreed that to come to his fifteen year reunion simple because she wanted to see where he went to school. She thought it would be a fun experience and since he had seen where she had gone to school it was only fair that she would see the place he had attended. Allowing him to guide her down the stairs and around the corner she was surprised when they stopped suddenly.
“Ok we’re here,” he whispered in her ear before removing his hand from her eyes.
Blinking quickly she let her eyes adjust to the light, taking in the scene around her. Smiling she was amazed by what she saw. They were at a lush green area of land. Two huge trees stood side by side to the left, looking as though they could reach the sky, and to the right showed a view of the city in the distance.
Turning to Oliver she whispered, “This place is incredible Oliver. It almost makes up for how bad the school is.”
Nodding Oliver responded, “Yeah it almost does. When I was in school this is where I came when I wanted to be alone. I’d climb up the tree and just watch the city.”
“It’s amazing.”
“It really is.”
Chloe raised an eyebrow, “You know what.” She replied, “I’ll race you to the top of the tree.”
“On three?’
Running forward Chloe called over her shoulder, “Three!”
The end.

“Oh my God.”
“It’s going to be ok.”
“Oh my God!”
“It’ll be fine.”
“Oh my GOD!! This can’t be happening.”
Oliver sighed and shifted the baby so that it was resting against his chest and watched as Chloe paced the room. He got who she was freaking out but she had been pacing since they had gotten to the farm. He understood that the situation was daunting but this was a huge freak out. Even for her standards. It was odd to think she could be freaking out this much, it wasn’t like he had any intention of keeping the baby and while he wanted children one day that day was a very, very long way away. They were nowhere near ready for the commitment of a child.
“Ok, Chloe,” he said calmly, “You need to calm down and explain this freak out to me.”
“This happened before,” Chloe said, sitting at last. Placing her head between her knees she tried to take deep breaths to calm herself. Honestly she wouldn’t think that this could happen again. Glancing up at Oliver she gave him a small smile before continuing, “Clark and Lana found a child in Evan’s field when we were seniors in high school.”
“Ok. That didn’t turn out too bad did it?”
Chloe shrugged, “Well the kid aged at a rapid rate. He was a seven year old child and then a teenager in the space of a couple of days.”
“So what does this have to do with the baby we found?”
“You don’t understand. The kid ended up exploding on the windmill because he just couldn’t stay alive. What if the same thing happens to this kid?”
Oliver stood and walked over to her. Kneeling in front of her he smiled, “Chloe. That doesn’t mean that this child will be like that.”
“You don’t know that and we can’t give a child to social services without knowing what will happen.”
“Was there a reason why the other child grew so quickly?”
“Yes,” Chloe sighed, “His mother was a meta.”
“Why don’t we stop jumping to conclusions until we know exactly what we’re dealing with here? For all we know the child’s mother could have run away after hearing the car, scared that we would call the cops.”
“Ok but Ollie, we’re not equipped to deal with a child, so whose going to watch it?”
Oliver smiled, “While you were freaking out I figured it all out. Clark is going come and help us deal with this. We’re going to stay here in the guest room and it’s all going to be ok. I promise.”
“What do we do with a child?”
Oliver shrugged, “We call social services in the morning offer to keep him with us until they find a good home for him and then we pass him over. Hope that whoever he gets loves him as much as his parents would.”
“And if his parents show up wanting him?”
“Who are we to deny him his family, after testing to ensure that’s who they are?”
Chloe smiled, “I kind of freaked out huh.”
Oliver laughed, “Just a little.”
“I’m sorry.”
“Chloe, this whole thing freaks me out too. I don’t know how to deal with kids but they have to be easier than board members so we’ll get through this. When we’re ready we can talk about having some of our own but until then let’s just be happy.”
Chloe smiled, “I like that idea.”
