au_bingo card. And lastly, I know nothing about production crews or what production assistants actually have to do, this is what I think they have to do so please forgive me if I’ve gotten it wrong.
Anyway, Enjoy!! And feel free to leave a comment :D
“So we met again.”
Kurt smiled and turned, “Yes we do. It’s funny how that keeps happening, huh?”
“It must be fate.”
“Or it could be the fact that we both work on the same production crew.”
When Kurt left Lima to go to Hollywood he hadn’t quite expect his life to be like this. He had expected to be snapped up for a movie or theatre production or television show. What he hadn’t expected was to have to be a Production Assistant for a Production Manager of a small time production crew, currently working on the set of an indie movie that he wasn’t even sure he remembered the name of. Still for some strange reason it led him to Blaine Anderson, who happened to be the Production Assistant to one of the Producers of the movie. At the beginning they had rarely had the opportunity to work together but somehow they had recently seemed to be thrown together. If he had more proof he would blame the other boy for it but he didn’t. So until the movie was over he’d just have to deal with it.
It wasn’t that he didn’t like Blaine. He did. It was just that he wasn’t use to being around cute boys who, for all intents and purposes, flirt with him. Coming from Ohio hadn’t prepared him for that. Sure he had flirted with his fair share of boys but they never reciprocated, not even once. Though he had been mildly amused when he returned home a month ago to see Karofsky walking down the street holding hands with another boy, especially after all the crap that he had been given from the other boy.
Still there wasn’t time to dwell on it. He needed to put out the snacks before giving out the new scripts and getting yesterday’s daily tapes from the director’s assistant. He didn’t really have time to be chatting to Blaine.
“Look is there something you wanted,” Kurt replied with a sigh, “I’ve got a thrilling day to get too.”
“I was wondering if you wanted some help?” Blaine said, shrugging, “But I guess I can get back to my day off if you don’t want any help.”
Kurt sighed again, knowing that he wasn’t so proud that he wouldn’t ask for help, “Please. I would appreciate it if you could help.”
“Ok, what do you need to do?”
“How about you go and give these new scripts to the people on the front and get me the daily takes from yesterday while I set up the food table.” Kurt asked, holding out the scripts. He knew that they would be the quickest jobs to get through but he didn’t really want to take advantage of Blaine’s kindness.
“Sure, it sounds like a plan.” Blaine replied with a nod before taking the scripts and leaving. Turning back to the table Kurt unloaded the food as quickly as possible. Sure he liked his job, it was a nice place to come every day, but sometimes the constant whining from cast members could make his life a little unbearable at times.
Half an hour later he was unloading the last of the drinks when Blaine appeared at his side, daily takes pilled under his arm, “Ok scripts have gone out and the daily takes are under my arm. How are you doing here?”
Placing the last two cans on the table Kurt stepped back, smiled, and replied, “Done now. I just have to take the daily takes to Jeremy and then I’m done for the day.”
Blaine nodded, “Good. I’m glad to know that your day is free now.”
“Is that supposed to be a hint?” Kurt asked, “Because before that I was thinking that I should offer to take you to lunch for helping me with my work.”
“I would be honoured,” Blaine replied with a smile before leaning in, “Even if you didn’t really ask.”
“Meet me at twelve at that Thai place we went to last week.”
“Done.”
The End
