Anemone wandered into the common room in search of some breakfast, automatically going for the fridge. Mmmm....brownies. "Hey."

Cassandra was distracted, so she didn't hear Anemone's approach. She started slightly and looked up. "Oh, hey Anemone."

"Brownie?" she asked, holding one out as she kept digging the fridge. "Starts your morning out right."

Anemone might have skewed ideas about nutrition.

Rubbing sleep out of her eyes still, Turtle gave a small yawn as she shuffled into the common room with a bit of a yawn. She hadn't had her shower yet, which was what usually woke her, but she decided she needed orange juice first. "Morning," she muttered in passing on her way to the fridge, although it came out significantly less pronounced. She'd slept surprising well and always wanted to go back to it. Sleep was about her only escape from thinking these days, but this morning haze of vague awareness was kind of nice, too.

Cassandra jumped a bit then nodded, "Morning."

Then she remembered there was a store, "Don't you own a... store thing?"

"Huh?" Turtle blinked over at Cassandra, glass in hand and OJ carton prepped for pouring. And then the words registered through her still half asleep brain and her lip curled, giving the glass a distasteful look as she filled it with juice. "Yeah, I do," she said. And Victor was working today, which meant she had to go in. There would be words. She wasn't looking forward to it, but such was the life of a responsible adult.

Adult, the word rang in her head a bit. In the moments of the morning before a shower, it registered that she was fifteen and shouldn't have to deal with this sort of thing. She filled the glass and set the carton back in the fridge.

"Turtle & Canary. Best store," she gave a weak smile with a lift of her glass in salute, "on the island."

Jack wandered in, on the Mopey Lack Of Internet Express. He waved.

While Cassandra was definitely distracted, she did notice the wave. She looked up and nodded back.

He quirked an eyebrow at her and mouthed "Anything wrong?"

[ooc: feel free to have Cass misread his lips no new taxes]

She blinked, shrugged, and held up the knife in answer.
