Summary: The King's only son, Prince Jin, is gravely ill and it is said that only a kiss of life from a Whisperer - immortals who are able to wield magic - can cure the Prince. But Whisperers happen to be wiped out in the old times due to the decree passed by the previous royalties. Or so they thought until a Whisperer was caught. But there's a catch - this Whisperer happens to be a male.
A/N: It's my first time writing both a fanfic and a boyxboy story so please bear with me if this story gets a little off at times. Forgive my grammar mistakes too cause english is not my native language. And please please leave me some insights. Thanks ^^
Prologue:
Back in the old times, in the Kingdom of Azure, magical creatures lived along side mortal citizens. It was not surprising to see faries fly around the streets, or unicorns prance about. Once in a while, one can even see Pegasus himself along with other winged horses.
Among the magical creatures are the Whisperers. Physically, they look somewhat like humans but they are actually immortals who are able to wield magic. One more difference they have from humans are their un-earthly beauty. Everyone of them, females and males alike, are graceful and gorgeous in a way no human can ever be. The rumor was that they were direct descendants of Aphrodite but it was not confirmed or denied.
Magical creatures may have been the superior race but they were gentle and kind in nature and so they took care and watched over humans. Humans, in turn, adored and treated these creatures like family. It was a lovely time.
But the peace was not meant to last.
A tragedy that happened one evening changed everything.
While most of the people were already sleeping, a great cloud of dust was viewed from afar and when it came nearer and nearer, that was when it became clear that the dust was only the effect of magical creatures - mostly those who took animal form - running at full speed towards them.
The people sensed the anger rolling off these creatures and so they tried to run away in fear.
But they were no match for these creatures who easily outran them, ruined houses and trampled people.
Little did the humans knew that these magical creatures were not the same from the creatures they knew. These creatures were from a dark force that was invading the Kingdom.
The Whisperers, together with the rest of the magical creatures, were busy fighting the dark forces at the border so they didnt notice that some had slipped by and were attacking the main Kingdom.
When they came home by morning, tired but victorious, they were shocked to find out that many people had already died and many more were hurt.
The royal family was not an exception because they had lost one of the Princesses to the chaos. When they found her, she was no longer alive.
Because of that, the magical creatures were deemed too dangerous and were banned from the Kingdom.
But a heavier punishment was given to the Whisperers. They were accused to be the mastermind of the rampage and so the King ordered for them to be killed-everyone of them, even the young ones.
Of course they could have easily escaped or fought back but they were too tired to do either. Probably too shocked too since they didnt think the humans would ever think so badly of them.
That morning, the people awoke not to the light of the sun or the crowing of the roosters, but to the screams of the Whisperers being killed.
From then on, the few Whisperers who managed to escape were hunted and killed.
The other magical creatures also never again showed themselves to the humans.
And it continued like that for centuries.
Until a certain Prince got sick...
