Last Halloween, I made a Victorian overskirt out of a faux-leather fabric. I didn't think it turned out like I wanted, so I made a second one that I liked better. I finally got the first one up on ebay. It sold well and this is the feedback they left for me.

I sold it for $25 +shipping. I paid $32 for the material, but I was just happy to get it out of the house and get -some- money for it. I figure the next one will look better and I'll put it up for $35 to start (this material only cost me $15).

Yeah, if nothing else it would be a great way to nourish your creativity. And there is some really damned cool stuff on etsy that goes for a pretty penny. And you don't have to do just steampunk, there's apparently a good market for gothic stuff on etsy too.

Not as good as I'd like to be. I've never made one that I've been happy with. I think my big problem is I've never used corset stays in any of them. And I always get stuck trying to put them together. I've got 3 half-sewn sitting in the craft room. I can't figure out what the instructions are trying to tell me. Maybe that should be my next big project; get the corset stays and finish one of them. That may give me the momentum to finish the rest. :)
