Stupid Accident…

„Accidents happen to the Best“ is a phrase in Germany…
I don’t think I’m one of the best, I was just not paying enough attention. Why I’m writing this?
Because I had a little accident last night / this morning.

Yesterday I went out to celebrate. (I left home so I wasn’t yet drunk or tired or something).
And I walked down the stairs, missed one and fell.
It hurt. But just a little while. So I walked on and moved to the celebration. I didn’t drive myself this time. A friend of mine drove.
To shorten all this, my ankle started hurting later the day. So I left at 11 PM the celebration and wanted to go home.
I could hardly walk o_O So my friend walked on and picked me up with the car.
My sweet sister was really worried so she slept in my apartment and took care of me. She put some ice on my foot and gave me some painkillers.

I didn’t sleep much the night. Not because of the pain. It didn’t hurt as long as I didn’t move. But I wasn’t tired. I think I fell asleep around 4 in the morning?
And woke up at 7.30. And it still hurt like hell when I tried to walk.
That just led to one conclusion. I had to see a doctor. -___-

So the first doctor had a look at my ankle, twisted and turned and pressed on it. Then he put on some crème and sent me to the hospital to X-ray to make sure that there isn’t a piece of bone cracked.
My nice sister drove me to the hospital, waited hours (or it felt like it) till I got the X-ray. Then I had to go to another doctor and he twisted and turned and pressed again!
After the look at the X-rays he said there’s nothing broken but he’s almost sure I tore a ligament.
Now I have to wear a splint the next six weeks!! Just great -_- And all this because I’m not able to pay attention to some stupid stairs.

But I’m still allowed to go to work (where I have the next three weeks do to some witting work because my boss is on vacation \^^/ ) and in a few days I’m allowed to drive my car again^^
I asked the doctor. He said, it’s okay to move the leg. Just not without the splint. It’s to protect and support the broken ligament so it can heal properly.

Sexy, ne? Now I can’t wear high heels or sandals the next six weeks ;_; I have to buy some shoes…
