Do you like happy endings?

I can't imagine why anyone would choose to have an unhappy life.

Perhaps they like happy endings for themselves but not others.

Do you like happy endings?

[If Leo intends to have a word with Elliot, he'll have to track him down first, because his master isn't going to seek him out instead. It won't be hard to find him, though. He can be found in his room, the same place he's been for a good part of the past couple weeks or so. The door remains shut-not very inviting, is it?]

[Well, he'd have to do this sooner or later. Knock knock, are you in, Master Nightray?]

[He is, but he doesn't care to respond. There were only two people that could be at his door, and he recognized that knock as belonging to the one he didn't wish to speak to.

There's the sound of a book being slammed shut, but nothing else.]

[Do you want to be annoyed, Elliot? Do you?

Because after a brief pause, that knocking's going to start again.]

Eh..? Of course I like happy endings. They're much better than sad endings, right?

[ She pauses for a moment as she seems to think about it, but ends up with the same opinion still. ]

If there's a sad ending, I'd feel bad for a while after reading or seeing that.. But happy endings only make me happy!

[...ah? It's a voice reply. Well, he's done with one book for now so he can probably devote some time to talk before he starts with another.]

But if a sad ending makes you feel bad, doesn't it mean that it's been well-written?

Well-written? [ She doesn't really seem to get it. ]

I never really thought about it like that.. I just like the endings that make me feel happy the most.

There has to have been a reason for it.

Who doesn't like happy endings?

That seems to be the current consensus.

[...uh-huh. That's just snooty enough to her perspective that she almost leaves it at that.]

You have a differing opinion?
