You Know You're From Illinois When...

You know if someone is from southern, middle or northern
Illinois as soon as they open their mouth. Well, I'd say middle or northern... since I'm from the north, I consider the accents of people south from me to all sound southern.

You know, I really did get lucky on the Texas one. It was mostly good Texas-centric stuff. Georgia is where they pronounce the invisible r in the word wash. My grandparents were from there and I recall as a child being quite confused by this new word "worsh".

Knee high for who? Giant beasts of doom? I've driven through the cornfields in late June and they're up to my neck... and if you know me (sorry, I have no idea who the heck you are), that's quite a height to obtain for corn.

Also, I'm pretty sure detasseling involves stripping ears of corn of all the leaves and silk stuff.
