Yes! I finally get to quote some obscure song as a subject line! Now I am a true live journal user.
It's true though, I only took six pictures today!
This was taken at Jamba Juice. I got a coupon for a free one in the mail, and since it is about a block away from the PAC I decided to go redeem it. I took this picture because it the bulletin board there has posters for two plays that students from a theatre are performing in around the community, "This is How it Goes" and "Goblin Market". You will probably recognize Zac from yesterdays pictures on the TiHiG poster.
The rest of the pictures were taken today in Stage Management.
That is Becky on the left, and Jaime on the right. Both actresses mostly. Becky is auditioning for Clue with me on Saturday.
Deidre, one of our department's best stage managers, is on the left in her suit which she was wearing to showcase for us the proper attire for an interview as a stage manager. She is graduating this year and has been going through all sorts of grad school auditions so she has assembled quite a snappy outfit which is unfortunately not properly seen in this image. We are going to miss her dearly when she graduates. Abbie is on the left, she is focused on lighting design.
Our professor for Stage Management, as well as a multitude of other classes, resident sound goddess, avid gamer, and all around awesome person, Dr. Katherine Whitlock (usually known simply as Katie) is on the right. Daniel Shindler, scenic designer, man of action, excellent painter, professor of design, and our department's technical director, Daniel Schindler (or just Dan) is on the left. He stopped by our class today take sign ups for student design positions for next year. I signed up to be an assistant stage manager and an assistant sound designer.
This is the moment that everyone noticed that I had a camera. The first law of photography takes over and everyone makes crazy faces. Note Joey's bald ass head which he shaved for The King and I which opened tonight. That reminds me that I need to go buy a ticket for that tomorrow. Which reminds me that I LOST!
Whitney Krauss on the left. An up and comming stage manager who is currently stage managing The King and I. Daria, in the middle, a member of the English staff who has decided to finish some sort of degree she started when she was in College. Juliet on the right, one of the ubiquitous 30 somethings that have for some reason not quite found what they are doing with their life and sort of linger around college for an untold number of years before vanishing without a trace.
And that is all the photos I took today.
I will be sure to get out some time this week and take some more photographs around campus during the daytime. Hopefully I can squeeze out more than a paltry six tomorrow.
