The Huffington Post ran an article about female geeks. I went through the slideshow and was sorely disappointed. None of these girls are geeks! I won't deny that they may be successful business people or dedicated bloggers, but that's not enough anymore to identify someone as a geek! Practically everyone's got a blog nowadays, and uses social media

Wow. Just ... wow. I don't think any of those were geeks. Gossip queens? Sure. Many of them were gossipmongers. But geeks? Hell no.

You forgot Admiral Grace Hopper, by the way. Unless you're trying to keep your list to living geeks?

No list of lady geeks is complete without Jennifer Dziura. Yeah, she's a comedienne, but she's also smart and business savvy. Her Punctuation Show is both informative and hilarious.

Yeah, the Huffington Post list doesn't have many geeks. To your excellent list I'd also add Kate McAlpine for her Large Hadron Rap, Kari Byron from Mythbusters, and Cristina Rad for (among many other things) her rebuttal of the video put out by that sssnake, Kirk Cameron.

I'd say felicia day would qualify as a geek - not sure if she's in the slide show or not, and if not, shame on you for leaving her off :)
