... it makes me question my sanity at any given time. Now I know that dreams are just the sub-concious working on data.... defragging all its data while the concious and the body re-energize. But still, this dream makes me say, W-T-F?!?!?
If you've never seen the movie "Night at the Museum", you'll be a little lost...
Ok, so I dream in little cinematics, so kinda just go with me.
In the Movie, you'll remember the little cowboy/roman figurines - well this dream takes place only in the cowboy section of the exhibit.
What if.... there were a General Custer in that exhibit who did not admit to being a figurine??
In my dream, I explore that possibility.
I don't remember how I got there, but in Sequence of what I do remember... here we go...
the first section of the dream, Custer is commanding the man in charge of building the railroad to make a split in the line to go off in the direction that would lead outside of the exhibit. The rest of the figurines know and accept that they are tiny figurines in an exhibit, and the builder tries to tell Custer that he doesn't think it would be a good idea when a giant hand reaches down and sticks a toothpick right through the top of Custer's head. Now, apparently in my dream-verse, if you do this you paralyse the figurine but you don't turn it back into a inanimate object. no, it just really pisses them off. So Custer keels right over and starts screaming "PICK ME UP!! PICK ME UP!! I'M GONNA KILL THAT DAMNED SONOVABITCH!! I SWEAR I WILL!!" ..... Dunno who he's talking about but... moving on...
Next sequence, there is apparently a Native American settlement within this unproportional space, and at this point, Custer has lost any semblance of sanity and the elders of the Indian group have taken it upon themselves to set Custer strait. They try to explain that Custer is just a figurine, but then a "stranger" wanders in - looking very much like Clint Eastwood did in deadwood - but Custer just wheels around and shoots him. As he falls, he says something I can't remember, but in John Wayne's voice! The group gasp and a little kid starts screaming, "He killed..." and the name escapes me... So, Custer shoots the kid too. At this point, a guy sitting off to the side stands up and says, "He's totally lost it! GET HIM!"
Custer shoots him too, and another guy cries, "He got Geronimo! FOR GERONIMO!!!!" And the entire group rush him.
the scene cuts, and you see this case filled with little figurines with toothpicks running through them and as the camera zooms in to focus on Custer, a Voice Over says, "And now you know why it's never a good idea to include a General Custer in any exhibit..."
.... so yeah... W-T-F?!?!?!?
it does make me wonder, though... just how accurate I got Custer... XD
