I did not write at all tonight.  NOT ONE WORD. And I'm not going to start now. I wasted way too much time with TurboTax trying to get the free service that my bank links to, but which they claim to have discontinued.  But then they have a DIFFERENT free service for simple taxes (like mine). Only it's NOT... because they will find SOME excuse to try

Good to know about Turbo Tax. I got their email about no longer being free to use, and I was wondering what the alternatives were. I'll remember ezTaxReturns when the time comes (still waiting for the rest of my interest statements from the various banks, the slowpokes).

Glad to be of help. I have all but City done now. Sad thing is that City is now the hardest one to get done, becuase they make it so DIFFICULT... allegedly there is an online site to do it, but it hasn't worked in years and the help email has been broken for as long as I've been back in the city. This year, they supposedly are set up to do online through some company, but the link from the city tax site is broken (and goes to a spam site! So it's probably been hijacked). So I sent an email to the help desk. Amazingly this time it didn't bounce. I downloaded a PDF of the tax form which I could not get at all for quite a few years, but they didn't create a fillable form, have the add text feature locked. So I can't fill it out and send it back to them online either. Come on City! Do the thing right!? It's not that hard to make a fillable PDF form. It's super easy. It's not even rocket science!
