Good call on deiciding to skip work! I didn't even know about the snowstorm until after it happened. Seattle had a week of bitterly cold weather, but has returned to its vague 45ish and cloudy, and I have no television, without which I really have no idea what goes on in the rest of the world.

Congrats on the progress on the grad school apps. Which schools did you decide on? I'm not applying this year, but for good reason, which I'll happily tell you all about when I get a chance... don't worry, its good news!

Um, yeah.

I applied to the same five schools I was planning to apply to when we talked about this in March. And the same five schools I was going to apply to when we talked on the phone over the summer. And the same five schools I was planning to apply to when we talked about this in September.

My list of schools has never changed. Ask your boyfriend.

Hi! This is Tad Williams. Please excuse the interruption to your regularly scheduled bloggery. People here have mentioned my work, or love fantasy and science fiction, so I just wanted to pop in and say that anyone interested in reading a chapter from my new book, SHADOWRISE, should drop an email to:

deborah.shazam@batnet.com

and we'll send one to you. We won't do anything rotten with your email address, either, we promise.

Thanks - Tad
