have you tried the libarary for the books instead of buying? you might need to reserve them but its worth the 30p :) i saved so much money by just getting the books out for the week i needed them (we did 3 books a week and it was just too expensive).

we do 3 a week too. My problem is that I have no idea what's gonna be in the exams so I feel like I have to study all of them really indepth. Meh. I'm definitely going to try all of them on after this semester, I mean they're barely touched!

You could try buying your books online. I got my books for less than half of what they are brand new in the bookstore. And they were brand new, still wrapped, and it included shipping. you just have to get the isbn off the book so it's the correct one.
half.com is pretty good for it.
