I adored this book as a child - they had better adapt it well...

Also, 2009 will bring Milk, Coraline, Star Trek, Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, The Lovely Bones and The Time Traveler's Wife.

2009, book, film

Milk was absolutely amazing. Sean Penn did a really fantastic job.

Yeah, I'm psyched for Coraline, Half Blood Prince, and Watchmen.

Isn't it just such a wonderful book? Eric Bana is playing Henry. :)

They've made it all so he comes from a broken home and it's all escapism, etc etc... I'm worried.

Honestly? I'm excited for every single film you listed. ;p Coraline, Bones and The Time Traveler's Wife were all fantastic books, I'm intrigued by what I've heard so far about Milk, and while I'm not particularly a trekkie, I'm looking forward to seeing Zachary Quinto in the new Star Trek adaptation.

HBP is a funny one because one of the first thoughts I had after finishing the book for the first time was: "How the crap are they going to turn this one into a movie?" It's my least favourite book of the series, but I liked the trailer, and I'm trying to remain optimistic. :)
