Athena was named for the Goddess of Wisdom, who was supposedly a virgin. Athena wasn't at all like her namesake. She liked sex and she was in love with being in love. Being in love with Fleur and Bill was the best thing in the world, mostly because it came with great sex. Fleur just had that special something about her and Bill was what anyone would call "adventurous".
It was also comfortable - or maybe it was comforting - either way, Athena liked it. She never had to make the bed - Fleur did that. She never had to cook - Bill did that. She could be outside all day, transporting goods and people in her dirigible and no one ever complained.
Then she got to come home to Fleur's beautiful grace and Bill's hip understanding. They didn't care that she was a machine and they were of the fey, only that together the world was complete.
