I'm not familiar with the characters, but this was really sweet. I really liked the point that you couldn't just use magic without creating an equal and opposite reaction. That was a nice touch!

Jakeem fic! Love your Pieter voice in this, and the fact that he's only "mildly" suprised Jakeem stays to help. This was really heartwarming. Thank you for posting!

Jakeem needs more lovin'. I just read his origin in JLA #28-31 and was strongly reminded why I ♥ him.

I'm glad Pieter rang true for you. Yes, "mildly" - lol. I figured he wouldn't have expected him to stay, but after Jakeem made that decision, Pieter would accept that it fit his character. Jakeem's very giving, even while he tries to project a tough exterior.
