So silly me is trying to collect blood in tubes during todays necropsy and in the process I get blood all over the place. So I put the tubes in a plastic cup to wash them off but every time I pour water over them some of the tops pop off. After a while it starts to get a bit irritating and I can't figure out why it keeps happening no matter how

Lol, that's awesome. Here I'd be freaking out because I was getting blood all over the place, and you're just "why won't the tubes stay shut?!" Science is a beautiful thing. :)

Hehehehe - niiiice... I almost expected you to say that the glass cracked when you put them in the cold water right after running hot water over them.
