I love your case. There are so many players that deserve to be in the Baseball Hall of Fame that just aren't there. By the way I'm eeeeeeevil I'm totally cheering for the Dodgers lol.

There are many players I disagree with the writers and vets committee about - and most of them, oh well. Of course, when Omar Vizquel is up for the Hall, I'll be much more adamant. I think Curt Flood is a special case, though because of his impact both on and off the field.

Dodgers=Blasphemy. Boo to Dodger Blue. ;D Honestly, the Cubs were the only National League team I had an affinity for and now I don't really care who wins. Maybe the Phillies. Looking forward to great series' though. The post-season's always fun! :)

LMAO. I'm a National League girl through and through but yeah I had issues with Cubs this year normally I would have been "Rah,rah,Cubs" but this year Cubs fans were especially nasty to the Marlins so it was a no go for me.

Hee. :D I prefer NL style of play, but primarily follow the AL due to team allegiance (♥ for my hapless M's). I'm sorry you had a nasty experience with Cubs fans and your team. It's never good when fans can't respect each other.

Yes. :( Now, I don't know who to root for...I'm thinking maybe the Phillies... but, my heart's not really in it.

I'm glad it interested you. I first heard of it during the '94 strike when I read Lords of the Realm, then it was referenced during Ken Burns' Baseball on PBS. I thought Curt Flood's actions were something to be admired: he sacrificed his own personal glory for doing what he thought was the right thing to do.

I'm glad you picked this up. That's certainly interesting and historically relevant enough for me.
