And I TOTALLY agree with you on everything you wrote about the Super books. The one week when there's not one in my pull box is always a sad one!

Unlike Flash Rebirth, which is just infuriating drivel with really bad art.
You also forgot to mention that it comes out so infrequently that I always have to reread all the previous issues to remember what's going on before reading the new issue.

It also has Stuart Immonen art. That may actually balance things out.
Stuart's art always makes things better. :)

Yay for the Super-books. They're totally happy-making. Aww - that's the week for re-reads!

Oh, you're right. I did forget to mention that - and I remember to complaining about that to literaryll the last time it did come out too. DC is much better at getting things out on time, but that one's a doozy considering its supposed to explain how Barry rejoined the DCU proper. :/

Stuart's art is wonderful. When he signed Ult. Spidey at ECCC, he drew this adorable little Peter on the inside cover.

Hee! Well, they need more love. sequentialcrack is a recs community for comics inspired fanworks. I hope you don't mind, I started with you for crossover day. :)

I'm about ready to just say all retconning must go through Brubaker.
lol - I heartily agree with this. He is quite good at it - seems to be a bit of a forte.

I'm really enjoying Torch. I just don't get all the nuances and I really wish I did. Any suggestions on back issue to read for a more complete picture?

Captain America Reborn hurts me... HURTS ME!
Perfectly stated. I had such high hopes and it's an immense disappointment. I just want quality Cap back. Okay, no I want Steve and Bucky interaction too - very badly. But, mostly, I want the book to be consistently excellent again. *sigh*

Blackest Night I can't decide on yet.
Are you reading Green Lantern and Green Lantern Corps? Have you followed the stories in those titles? If not, how does Blackest Night read? I'm very curious because it seems like it would be an entirely different story without that context.

Zomg, I so do not mind at all. Though *LOL* now I wish I'd fixed his proportion problem on the arm =P

lol - I heartily agree with this. He is quite good at it - seems to be a bit of a forte. It really does, though thinking on it no, I have to say "with Steve Epting" because when Steve Epting talked at SDCC he was doing a lot of reeling in of some of Brubakers' bigger changes. So I think they are a good team ( ... )

I seem to remember you saying something about that at the time. If they're partnership is what's doing it, then more power to 'em.

You're not really missing much with Toro's family
Thank you! Those are the parts I've been unsure about.

I'm not reading either Green Lantern or Green Lantern Corps... Blackest Night by itself is reads more or less like a horror story
Thank you, that's interesting. I'm barely registering the horror story aspects of the main event title because for me it just ties into the larger emotional spectrum war.

DC

Superbooks: Adventure comics is the only Superbook that I'm actually *enjoying* reading right now. :(( The rest of them are driving me a little crazy, specifically because of the lack of Mon-El, who was swiftly becoming my favorite. That being said, I am about two weeks behind on all my books... except for Blackest Night, of course.

Adventure #3 made me really, really happy. <33 BOYS <33

but Gary Frank's Reeve-clone!Clark throws me out of the story, which in itself is perfunctory at bestOh thank god! Everyone looks at me like I'm crazy when I say that I don't like this guy's art because of this. (I mean, it's good art, but every time I see Clark I just get annoyed and stop thinking about the story ( ... )

Booster Gold & Blue Beetle are still one of my favorites. I'm always squeeful when they come out. This weeks the Blackest Night issue, though. *bites nails*

Wonder Woman *is* wonderful! I'm glad I started reading it. :D

I don't know if it's something you *need* to see, but I've written a lot of stuff in the last few months. It's all on my journal, and specifically I wrote some more Guy/Kyle. It's probably my favorite of the bunch. I just checked my index post and dear god, I've written 13 stories since January. *boggles*

(Goodness, sorry this was so long! If it's any indication, this is how much I've missed you!! **HUGS**)

I'm glad you're still squeeful - squee is a wonderful things and should be shared whenever possible. I'm still enjoying it, it's just not one of those things I anticipate all month. I wonder if the Blackest Night issues will have more impact/meaning than the tie-ins did, or if they'll just be dead relative's bodies trying to get a rise out of their loved ones. Black Lantern Ted should be fun, though.

YAY! I'm glad you're reading it. Isn't Diana's caper with Dinah delightful? And the noodles! Hee!

Mmm... Guy/Kyle. I'll have to read that. O_o Thirteen! Wow, I'm impressed. You've been prolific. :D

*HUGS* Good gracious, please don't be sorry for replying to my long-ass post with a long reply. I've missed you much!

I miss Geoff Johns and Dale Eaglesham so much! *cries*

SO DO I!!! *weeps*

which had Jennifer next to a working machine in the lab when the sum total of her characterization has been that her powers' make technology fail.

*head desks* Argh. Please read canon, writers?

Yay for Power Girl! It's one of the few books I'm reading at the moment. :)

At least Michael had the appropriate response of crying himself to sleep when Michael died? *grasping at straws*

This is why literaryll and I decided to start our "JSA DAY" where we do an activity one of them would do. It's a balm to our broken hearts. We've also decided to re-read the Robinson/Goyer/Johns run from the beginning, and savor them together a few issues at a time.

Oh, and we have an idea for the comm. I shall send it to you.

Powergirl is an absolute delight! I ♥ it.

What are you reading at the moment?

Michael cried himself to sleep when he died? That is an appropriate response! *giggles* No, seriously, I assume you mean Pieter did? *wibbles* Oh, Pieter!!! *huggles him*

Oh, I need to re-read the old arcs too! I forget how awesome they are...

I'm... not reading much, at the moment, to be honest! Um... Power Girl and Tec, really. Apart from the kids titles, lol. I'm sorta waiting for trades of other titles, so... Not very much, at the moment. Though I have been loving JSA v Kobra! But I agree with you, it does read a little too much like Checkmate to be a real JSA story, I think. Still, better than nothing! :)
