Sara
Today we gave something back to heaven
that heaven had once given Ben and me.
Our precious, faithful companion,
Our sweet Sara, Our beloved kitty.
Darkness gripped our world today,
As our little Sara was taken away,
We watched her gasping her last breath,
and whispered to her "It’s time to rest."
Our heart crumbled as we watch her go,
but we wouldn’t leave her side, no.
Ben kissed her head as I petted her side,
We whispered goodbye as part of us died.
May heavens arms hold you, softly my love,
until we can hold you in Heaven above.
