Had a great extra long weekend! Hooray Jew year!

Friday: Although our rum-raiser turned out small, I'm glad we did it. We raised some cash for Baracky baby, thanks flaterik ! and generally had a good time.

Damnit. MBV is here tonight, and I guess I'm not going to bother to go see them. Not for lack of desire, but the venue they're playing is just WAY too sh!tty to hear anything but a wall of noise, even in the best conditions. To heck with it.

Yes, it's a sign of being old, (or, I mean..."experienced"...) to know that some shows are just going to have the life sucked out of them by bad venues.

That said, I had two people contact me last night to gloat that they were there and I was not. Of course, the show hadn't started yet...and I never heard from them again, so maybe I was right.

My absence from the physical rumraiser can be explained by nearby alcohol and remembering that hearing mccain speak causes me physical pain, but it still served as a reminder that I'd been meaning to donate again!

I'm entirely unsure about timing so far but I'll probably figure it out after I sleep... which will be in a couple hours.
