[ Clark knows it won't hit him--hell, he'd do more damage to the Batarang than it would do to him. Slowly he turns to take it out of the wood, turning it carefully in his hands.
It would look too suspicious that when Bruce Wayne becomes a child, Batman disappears as well. [ He looked at the way Clark is fingering the batarang before he hops back and sits on the couch. His legs swings off the edge a little. ]
And what if Batman isn't good enough to fool your Rogues? I could do you more harm than good.
[But it's not as though he's lacking in confidence. He throws the Batarang back, and it hits its mark sinking neatly into the arm of the chair. Maybe a little hard, since only the tip of a wing is sticking out.]
[ Bruce looks at that, and rolls his eyes very neatly. Then, he takes the batarang out - with a hard, sharp tug - and throws it back. It lands in the exact same spot as it had just now. ]
[ Or it would, if Clark didn't take it out of midair before it could touch the wood. He steps down the three steps into the main room, and looks up toward Bruce again, raises his hand, fisted, to his throat and coughs once.
Batman's voice. Right.]
You're not as invulnerable as you seem to think you are.
[Clark shrugs his shoulders, tries to expel his own energy, and moves toward the couch. He knows his height is just a little intimidating, but even so the supersuit ruins the effect.
His voice is a positive growl now, dark, menacing.]
I'm calling in the favour I did you at the beginning of the month.
Reply
Calling it in how?
[ His voice echoes. ]
Reply
Batman hasn't been seen in public lately.
[ Smirrrrrrk. Fill in the blanks, Clark. ]
Reply
Well that's pretty obvious, but... ]
Are you sure about this?

Batman needs to appear at the same time as I do.

Try doing my voice when I'm in the costume.

Try again. And keep that amusement out of your voice this time.
[ He smirks. ] Batman doesn't laugh.

[Okay, another shot. It's so, so hard to stay serious when he's basically trying to do an impression of someone else right in front of them.]
I'm not scaring you, am I?
Reply
Try harder. You can't even scare an actual five year old child.

You're pathetic. Get out of my way.

But Bruce isn't a child, and Bruce has no fear. He tips his head up, looking at Clark, and grins. ]
Much better. [ Then he tips his head to the side. ]
Have you ever learnt to dodge bullets instead of letting them bounce off you?
Reply
[He sinks down onto the couch beside him with a little huff. Honestly, Bruce grinning him like that is plenty disconcerting all in itself.]
I can try and remember. My instinct isn't to move, though.
Reply
[ Well, he's making three more simultaneously- but this is like. Incentive. ]
And Clark? It's not your instinct, but it's mine.
Reply
[And leaning back.]
So what do you want to do--you have a plan, right?
