The point is we've played chicken with LuthorCorp long enough to know that at the slightest hint that something will go missing, it suddenly becomes unfindable. I don't know how things are in Gotham--maybe you just leave precious things sitting around and wait for the thieves to prove they're a little smarter than you are.
