Augh.
Ai, this broke my soul. I read it, and was kind of stunned afterward. Like, I wish I had the adequate words to describe the impact it had.
He's so broken and it's so painful, and it's so horrible what he went through but written so beautifully and. *FLAIL*
That last bit--He was whole once, a long time ago, but now it was written on his face--whole pages torn out, stories written in shaking, illegible scrawl, ink stained by tears and smoke and blood. It was a story that was unreadable, but one didn't have to read it to see the man was broken.
fffffff my favorite part and the one that really did kill me. I love you so much. Thank you for writing this for me and introducing me to these characters that just...are so compelling and beautiful.

I'm sorry for breaking your soul! And. It makes me so happy that you had that reaction, as nasty as that sounds, 'cause. I mean. I've said this before probably, but you're kind of one of my writing idols, and to hear that come from you means so much.
Thank you for this comment--thank you so much.
