My fifth grade teacher and middle school track coach died yesterday. He was one of the good guys.

So here's something worth posting. It's more for the fellow Firefly fans.

It's a free novel told in between the end of the series and the beginning of the movie, written by a pro novelist named Steven Brust. Calling it fanfiction is kind of like calling Jeremy Soule's piece on OCR a remix.

Also: last night, while Mike and I were rolling through an extended set in Rock Band, we both realized we'd been playing for hours without any fatigue. I've come so far from paralytic wrist cramps after 15 minutes on the guitar.

Apparently, when I'm sick, I get even more deadpan and hilarious.

This is countered by the fact that illness renders me as pitiful as a wounded tiger cub cornered by hyenas.

forget The Dark Knight. it's natural to say, "hey, at least Ledger finished his parts for the film." I was unreasonably excited for the movie, but shit. he is dead. why is the movie important right now.
