So things went very well overall for the recent mission.
We did run into a few problems, mostly with people not thinking about their actions. Some things never change. Basically we have what's called a 'combat meter'. Its the only thing in SL that can really keep track of damage unless you turn the 'damage on' function on your parcel on. The result of doing that is that when people die they get sent home. I don't really want to send my crew home. As a result, we have a commercial combat meter that keeps track of damage. This particular one has the added bonus of counting you shooting a comrade against you as well. As a result, you have to be careful. One of my people wasn't and it caused some strife in the ranks. My chief of Tactical/Security is going to start having training sessions so people learn not to run in and fire blindly.
So basically, things went well and this successfully led into mission three of the month. We're working on retexturing the planet into a swamp world right now. It isn't going especially well as my Chief Engineer is away on holiday. We'll manage though.
