Iskra...read your comment on kitsune's LJ site and wondered what kids were sick. You have kids? It sounds like you mean more than plushies. So, I bopped on over to your site, and now I understand. 35 yrs. nursing, 5 yrs. volunteering as a lay chaplain at a large hospital with a booming Emergency Rm.--I understand. If I could say something helpful, of course I would. If I could DO something to help, even though we are at great distance, I would. But nothing can change reality, and you have plunged deeply into one reality of life--that of pain, suffering and death. What I do know is that, if you keep your heart open, you will find a way to get to other realities--you will find ways of spinning all these painful and exultant realities into something that will nurture your heart and soul and will spill out and (in ways you may not ever see) impart grace to those you care for. For now, remember to breathe. mc
Yeah... I know that reality is cruel with the innocent and that I will encounter much more pain and heartbreak as I progress in my career. And yet, despiste how bad it hurts, I´m not sure that I want to grow indifferent to it. Ever. Thank you su much for taking a moment to comment.
