I don't like putting on make-up for work, because in a few hours I'll wash it off when take my ablutions. Then after praying, I have to put it back on. A few hours later, take it off again. RARR.
do you totally completely wash your make up off? it takes soap to get my mine off usually, so wudu doesn't really get rid of it all. it mostly just smudges my eyeliner and mascara. I wonder if this means I'm not properly clean? it would be such a hassle to fully redo it all the time! I couldn't take a job that made me wear makeup; they can deal with me looking icky.
It's not compulsory, but it's hinted that it would be better. I usually get by with the bare minimum, so I can just wash my face. It doesn't remove everything, but it removes enough that I definietly need to do touch ups. I think as long as the water touches your skin, then it's okay.
It's not compulsory, but where I work they tend to stress that everyone keep a professional/mature appearance, and for women that tends to require make-up. I have a very young-looking face, so I need to dress up a little to be taken seriously. Sad but true. Admittedly the same rule applies for men, but they don't have to worry so much about make-up.
I know someone here who prays Zohor and Asar in one go. Tight timing though to get it right, unless your boss is the kind that don't really care how long you are at your prayers.
